Northern Football V Auckland Football (13:00,LOCAL TIME)

The ASB Women’s League final kicks off at Fred Taylor Park at 1pm.

Northern won the title last year with a 3-0 win over WaiBOP courtesy of a brace of goals to Hannah Wilkinson and one to Rebecca Burrows. It was the first time a team other Auckland or Capital won the national women’s league, which has featured limited age restrictions for the last three seasons.

    Yes. Actually it was New Zealand who deployed young players — Bowen, Wilkinson, and Longo who scored the equalizer. Germany also includes Marozsan, Lotzen, Wensing as undisputed regulars. Perhaps Sasaki must stick to his strategy to try new players shown at Algarve rather than change it too frequently. Today, Ogimi was practically alone in the front line. She might be wishing Mina was there.
