NWSL 2014 match previews on Women's Soccer United

Chicago Red Stars host Washington Spirit whilst Portland Thorns host Kansas City in Saturday 26 April’s NWSL action.

Portland Thorns will play their first home game of the National Women’s Soccer League 2014 on Saturday when they welcome FC Kansas City.

Chicago Red Stars head into this game on the back of a 1-0 victory over the Western New York Flash. Julie Johnston scored the only goal of the game to earn the Stars 3 points.

Washington Spirit travel to Chicago after suffering a 3-1 defeat to Seattle Reign FC on Wednesday. The Spirit have lost two of their opening three games and will be looking to repeat the success they had with their 3-1 victory over FC Kansas City in Week 2 .

Portland Thorns FC host FC Kansas City at Providence Park for their home opener! The Thorns are currently unbeaten in the NWSL following their 1-1 draw at Sky Blue FC and their opening day victory against Houston Dash.

FC Kansas City are facing Portland Thorns FC for the first time since the Thorns eliminated them from the semi-final play-off last season. Kansas City are still looking for their first win of the NWSL 2014 season.
