The NWSL Disciplinary Committee announced that it has suspended Western New York Flash midfielder Carli Lloyd.
Lloyd has been suspended two games for use of excessive force in an incident involving Chicago Red Stars midfielder Vanessa DiBernardo in first half stoppage time (47+) of the match on Saturday, April 19 at Toyota Park.
With a bye in Week 3, Lloyd will sit out the Flash’s next two matches in which she is available to play.
