Lyon sign Kenza Dali, Kheira Hamraoui, Jessica Houara and Caroline Seger from PSG
Norwegian rising star Andrea Norheim is the 5th signing for Lyon today.
French Champions Olympique Lyonnais has announced today the signing of five players including four from their rival club PSG to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
Joining the four players from PSG; Kenza Dali, Kheira Hamraoui, Jessica Houara and Caroline Seger is Norwegian rising star Andrea Norheim.
Kenza Dali makes a return to Lyon having played there until 2010 before a stint at Rodez followed by PSG since 2011.
Dali commented on the club’s official website (google translated): “It is a pleasure to return to Lyon where I did almost all my classes.”
French international Kheira Hamraoui will provide reinforcements in midfield, also joining Lyon from PSG (2012-16). She previously played for Hénin-Beaumont (2007-08) and Saint-Etienne (2008-12).
Swedish international Caroline Seger has played in France since 2014 for Paris Saint-Germain. She said (google translated): “There is a real satisfaction to join this great club. I know the French league because I played two seasons in Paris. This experience will allow me to integrate easily with my new team. ”
Jessica Houara spent nearly eight years at PSG, before that she was with Marseille and Saint-Etienne.
Andrea Norheim makes up the fifth signing of the day, she was only 17 and arrives from Klepp IL, Norwegian first division club.
The signatures of these five players are added to the arrival in May of the German international Dzsenifer Marozsán from Frankfurt and the contract extensions of Saki Kumagai, Ada Hegerberg, Amel Majri and Eugénie Le Sommer.
Lyon are preparing to defend its three titles during the 2016-2017 season and will again be the favourite of the French D1 championship, which will start on September 4.
