Portland Thorns FC set a club record for goals in a single game scoring four goals in the second half in front of 3,806 fans to beat the Washington Spirit 6 – 1, two goals from forwards Alex Morgan and Jessica McDonald and one goal each from Christine Sinclair and Allie Long, Washington Spirit  only goal of the game came in the 62nd minute from Christine Nairn.

FC Kansas City earned a 1-0 win over the Chicago Red Stars with a late goal from Jen Buczkowski in the 76th minute on Saturday night in front of 1,493 fans at Verizon Wireless Field at Durwood Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
