Francisco Neto names Portugal squad to compete at the Algarve Cup 2018.

Portugal women’s national team head coach Francisco Neto has called 23 players for the 2018 Algarve Cup that will run between February 28 and March 7.

Hosts of the prestigious Algarve Cup has announced its squad for the 25th edition of the competition, which will take place in Portugal from February 28 to March 7.

Portugal is in Group A, alongside Australia, Norway and China. It will be an opportunity for the team to prepare for their qualification for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will continue on April 10, against Belgium.

Portugal will kick off their Algarve Cup 2018 campaign against China, ranked 16th in the FIFA Women’s Team Ranking. The game is scheduled for 15:00 on February 28 at the Municipal Stadium in Lagos.
