Washington Spirit name Denise Reddy as assistant coach.
Washington Spirit have today announced that Denise Reddy has been named an assistant coach for the National Women’s Soccer League club.
Washington Spirit general manager and head coach Jim Gabarra said on the club’s official website: “Denise is a highly qualified and experienced coach, we are extremely fortunate to have her working for the Spirit. I am confident that she will be a valuable asset to our club.”
Denise Reddy holds a UEFA Pro License. She has served as head coach of Vittsjö GIK and Linköping FC in Sweden and B93/HIK/Skjold in Denmark. She was also an assistant coach for Chicago Red Stars from 2008-2010 and Jersey Sky Blue from 2006-2008.
Denise Reddy spoke about her appointment on washingtonspirit.com: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Washington Spirit organization. The Spirit is an extremely professional organization with a great outreach and connection to the community. Jim Gabarra is one of the most experienced coaches in the league, and I am really looking forward to working with him. I will look to help strengthen an already established team with my qualities and experience from both the US and abroad.”
