Martens and Petersen were having their own individual battle and the keeper denied her once again this time making a good low save with her foot.
Stefanie van der Gragt thought she had sealed the victory for the Dutch as she met a Spitse cross perfectly but flicked her header wide from six yards out. As the game was nearing its end Van Veenendaal made another very good save as Harder hit a strike as sweet as a nut across goal.
