“We are proud to be the Title Sponsor of this historic sports franchise in the Rochester, NY area and introduce the Lady Lancers,” said Salvatore ‘SoccerSam’ Fantauzzo, CEO/Founder of Salvatore’s Pizzeria and Host of Kick This! “I have been determined to help bring back women’s soccer to our great city. I found the dream team to help make this a reality.”

“We are so excited to have the Rochester Lancers join United Women’s Soccer,” said UWS League Director Joe Ferrara, Jr. “SoccerSam and the entire Lancers organization have shown a passionate commitment to the sport of soccer and the city of Rochester. Historically, soccer in Rochester is on par with any city in the United States.

“There are certain criteria in a UWS sports franchise that we want our clubs to embody and the Lancers have it all. From professionalism on and off the field to community and public relations, the Lancers will be a positive beacon in the league.”

“Aquinas is super excited about hosting the Rochester Lady Lancers,” said Anthony Bianchi, Athletic Director at the Aquinas Institute. “I recall great memories going to the original Lancer games with my Dad, I look forward to reestablishing the Lancers and Aquinas tradition. I am in favor of everything that helps grow the sport of soccer here in Rochester, NY.”

Monroe Community College Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach Loren Inglese will serve as the Lady Lancers’ General Manager and Head Coach while MCC Head Women’s Soccer Coach Sal Galvano will be Associate Head Coach. Inglese is a Rochester native and Spencerport graduate who helped lead the MCC Tribunes to a Region III Championship, District E Championship and a 3rd place finish at the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in 2016.

“I’m very excited to be part of bringing elite level women’s soccer back to Rochester,” said Inglese. “We have great talent here in Rochester and I look forward to seeing local players competing against some of the best players from across the country.”
