National coach Anna Signeul has named her squad for the first match of 2012. Scotland travel to Belfast for an International Challenge Match against Northern Ireland, as both sides prepare for the 12-team Cyprus Women’s Cup, set to kick-off at the end of February.

I think the ranking criteria is far better than the one for Ballon d’Or, at least. More than anything it has a distinct formula. You can agree or disagree to it, but you can not say there is a room for arbitrary pickup.
