Chicago Red Stars forward Sofia Huerta was voted the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Player of the Week by the media for Week 5 of the 2015 NWSL season.

Huerta, 22, scored two goals and recorded an assist in the Red Stars 3-0 victory over the Boston Breakers on Saturday afternoon at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Ill.

Video highlights:

The NWSL rookie’s first goal came early in the second half when midfielder Vanessa DiBernardo found Huerta near the goal, who was able to score against the Breakers’ goalkeeper Jami Kranich in a one-on-one situation, giving the Red Stars a 1-0 lead.

The Red Stars continued to find the back of the net in the second half when forward Cara Walls blasted one past Kranich in the 70 th minute with an assist from Huerta, putting Chicago up by two late in the game.
