Result of the SSE Women’s FA Cup Semi-final draw made by broadcaster Sam Walker on BBC Radio 5Live
FA WSL 1 champions Manchester City will take on Liverpool in the semi-finals of the SSE Women’s FA Cup.
The second semi-final will be contested by 2012 winners Birmingham City and 2015 victors Chelsea after the draw was made by broadcaster Sam Walker on BBC Radio 5Live on Monday afternoon, as Manchester City’s Jennifer Beattie looked on.
Birmingham knocked out holders Arsenal in the quarter finals on Sunday. Liverpool saw off Notts County and Chelsea eased past Sunderland while City left it late to edge Bristol City.
The semi-finals are scheduled for Monday 17 April and each winning club will receive £5,000 from The FA prize fund.
Tickets for the Final are already on sale and children can attend for free, thanks to The FA’s partnership with SSE.
