In the latest edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking, USA remain top followed by Germany and Nadeshiko Japan.

 

There are few changes in the women’s football World rankings since the previous edition on 7th December 2012.

 

England have climbed one place to tie with Canada in 7th position following their recent Cyprus Women’s Cup win. USA have increased their lead at the top due to a 2-0 victory over second-ranked team Germany in the Algarve Cup final. USA are also unbeaten in 29 matches and have held the top position for exactly 5 years! Norway have moved up the table following their positive results in the Algarve Cup, including beating the World champions Japan. Scotland sit in their highest ever position since the introduction of the women’s rankings, they moved up 2 to the 21st spot while the Football Ferns climb 1 place to 20th.
