The logo for the first ever African Women Sports Expo was released this morning in Johannesburg South Africa. The said expo is said to be held at the Sandton Convention Centre from 14th to 19th of January 2013. Women’s sports are becoming the worlds most popular and growing sport and perhaps the most powerful; it bonds communities, builds hope and bridges cultural divides.

In the 21st century, women’s sports such as soccer, hockey, cricket, swimming etc have become the world’s most lucrative industries with sponsorships, merchandising, television rights and player transfers all contributing to an annual turnover estimated at over $5bn.
Women Sports business is becoming big business and South Africa is leading the way in bringing together the women sports industry, providing a unique platform for the sport to learn, network and do business.

    Unfortunately yes. Naomoto was seeing the first 3 games from stand.

    BTW, do you know she is a student of Tsukuba Univ. playing for Urawa, just like Saki Kumagai was until 2 years ago, and Kozue Ando years before. Who knows, she may follow their path further. Saki moved to Frankfurt at age of 20. 😀
