The New look in the Belgian Women’s Super League now has Ten Teams
Good news has came out from for Belgian women’s football. The Super League will have 10 teams from next season 2020/21.
The Super League has already been budgeted and if the sponsors stay, then there is no problem. It’s also about small amounts, which is the advantage of women’s football.
In contrast to this season 2019/20 where we saw only six clubs take part in the Super League, next season 2020/2021 we will see ten clubs participate in the Women’s Super League , Which is the highest national women’s division in Belgium.
These are the four new Teams to enter the Women’s Super League, SC Eendracht Aalst and FC Fémina White Star Woluwe , who finished 1st and 2nd respectively in the 2019-2020 ranking of the Women’s 1st national division. SV Zulte Waregem and Sporting du Pays de Charleroi , who had submitted a license application as provided for by law for all clubs in the Pro League.
The Women’s Super league will also get €100,000 which is part of a TV rights deal with broadcasters Eleven Sports.
We all at WSU wish the teams old and new good luck in the coming 2020/21 season.
