Toronto National Soccer Stadium will be the only one where the surface is natural grass, Montreal, Edmonton and Moncton stadiums will be FIFA-certified football turf playing surface.

What is going on in Qatar is an absolute disgrace, it’s time corruption was elimimated from FIFA.

FIFA made 2 Billion Dollars from the 2014 World Cup. Sending grass to Canada would’ve been a drop in the bucket. Not surprised though, what will they do about workers building stadiums in Qatar making 1 dollar a day, or not getting paid in a year? Nothing…I doubt they strip Qatar of the Cup they bribed their way into getting in the first place. So I shouldn’t be surprised they disrespect the women by not using their money (Canada shouldn’t have to foot the bill for everything) to help make sure the best surface possible is played on in the Cup. And now we see why England really dropped out of 2019 bid…the FA said they will never bid for another world cup while Sepp Blatter is President.

Some of the key players of the senior Women’s World Cup voiced their concerns about playing on artificial pitches for the major tournament. The U-20s may give us an insight as to whether it will impact on the game, result in more injuries, etc.
