USA Women’s National Team will play Korea Republic on Saturday 15th June 2013 in the first of two International friendly matches.

 

The two national teams will meet at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., on Saturday 15th June, kick-off time is set for 7pm ET. The second leg will take place at Red Bull Arena in Harrison on Thursday 20th June.

 

This match will be the first time USA and Korea Republic have met since three matches in November 2008 following the USWNT Gold Medal win in Beijing. 

 

Tom Sermanni selected a 23-player roster to compete at a training camp ahead of these two friendly matches: Nicole Barnhart, Jill Loyden, Hope Solo, Rachel Buehler, Crystal Dunn, Whitney Engen, Meghan Klingenberg, Ali Krieger, Kelley O’Hara, Christie Rampone, Becky Sauerbrunn, Yael Averbuch, Morgan Brian, Lauren Cheney, Tobin Heath, Carli Lloyd, Kristie Mewis, Heather O’Reilly, Megan Rapinoe, Sydney Leroux, Alex Morgan, Christen Press and Abby Wambach.

    Should be good work for South Korea. They’re pretty much guaranteed to qualify for the 2015 Women’s World Cup (Japan, Australia, China, South Korea with Vietnam/Thailand probably fighting for 5th). Hopefully they can improve over the next two years.
