A very exciting women’s football fixture has been announced between USA and Sweden this November.

Sweden will travel to the University of Phoenix Stadium on November 19th, 2011 to play in what promises to be an exciting fixture against USA.

The last time the two teams met was as recently as this Summer’s World Cup. Sweden triumphed over USA , winning 2-1 in their group game. Sweden went on to claim 3rd place in the World Cup, whilst USA were runners-up, losing to Japan in the Final on penalties.

Out of the short-list it was very very difficult to pick three names! I have finally made a decision for World player… Although this could change…

So I went with Japanese keeper Miho Fukumoto because she sticks out in my mind as having a great year, although Japan did not win the Olympics, she played a huge role in the side making it to the final.

Alex Morgan, because whenever I watch Alex play she always gives 100%, if she is not scoring goals she is setting them up. She is a game changer and she has had a great year which deserves to be rewarded.

Christine Sinclair, This decision is a little bit cheeky as I have chosen her not just because of 2012 but because I think she is an outstanding player that has always seemed to gone unnoticed.

    * I really want to sneak Carli Lloyd in here too… Lets face it she scored the most important goals of the year for USA, and she worked very hard to get a place in the team so I would like her to get recognition too 🙂

I hope so, I think it will be on TV because USA have been broadcasting the Canada Friendlies so hopefully they will do this one too 🙂

Do we know if it’ll be a televised/open game?  (Pretty pretty please!)
