Valais Women's Cup 2014

The 2014 edition of the Valais Women’s Cup will take place on 7 and 9 August 2014 and will feature four world renowned clubs.

The exciting tournament will see Olympique Lyonnais, Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona and RSC Anderlecht battle it out for the title.

Olympique Lyonnais

This tournament will host one of the most successful teams in Europe, Olympique Lyonnais, who has two wins in the Champions League (2011 and 2012), a title of world champions clubs and 12 championships in France. The women’s section of the OL champion title in France since 2007, is the only French club to win a treble Champions League, league and national cup.

FC Barcelona

Also follow the girls of FC Barcelona, a pioneer of women’s football. The first match of the team dates back to 1970, even before the creation of a women’s championship. Triple champion of the Spanish title, Barça is a very successful team in recent years.

Paris Saint-Germain

Among the attractions of the Valais Women’s Cup, the women’s team Paris Saint-Germain is figure great rival Olympique Lyonnais. Vice-champion of France in the past two years, Parisians were the first to be able to stop the Lyonnaise in their quest for victory. On 18 January 2014, the Paris Saint-Germain has indeed defeated Olympique Lyonnais, ending an unbeaten 87 matches!

RSC Anderlecht

    I don’t suppose there’s any way to watch this live, short of going to France?

      I think the matches will be televised, I will try and find more details. Hopefully there will be an online broadcast.
