Valencia CF Femenino travel to Atlético de Madrid Femenino this Saturday in the Spanish Liga Iberdrola

Valencia CF Femenino are preparing for a tough challenge against Atlético de Madrid Femenino in the Spanish Liga Iberdrola this Saturday at 1pm.

A huge game in Day 20 of the Spanish Liga Iberdrola sees fourth placed Valencia CF on 34 points take on Atlético de Madrid on 48 points at 1pm at the Wanda Sports City which will also be televised live by Gol.

Valencia CF come to this match at its best in the Liga Iberdrola 2017.18, having won 16 of the 18 points in the last six games, with five wins and one draw.

Last week, the Valencia CF took the three points from the difficult encounter against Sporting Club de Huelva, where they won 1-3 with a double by Mari Paz Vilas and a third goal by Sandra Hernandez. These records have allowed those of Jesus Oliva to be placed in the fourth place of the classification, just three points from the third place, which is occupied by Athletic Club with 37.

As for this weekend’s rival, Atlético de Madrid Femenino, the current Iberdrola League Champions, occupies the second position with 48 points, two behind the leaders, FC Barcelona. Atlético de Madrid, from 10 games, have won eight, tied one and lost one; with 24 points in favour and 7 against. Angel Villacampa will face a powerful Valencia CF Femenino, a team concentrated and ready to play, knowing the extreme difficulty of the game, but more than willing to battle to score in Madrid.

In fact, Valencia CF have two consecutive seasons getting good results in this match-up. In the 2016.17 season, they scored one point (0-0); and in 2015.16, they scored (0-3). In the first leg of the Liga Iberdrola 2017.18, it was Atlético who took the three points against Valencia CF (0-1).
