Valencia CF beat Levante UD 1-0 in the Valencian derby in front of over 14,000 fans.

An unstoppable header from Lombi in the 37th minute, earned Valencia CF a 1-0 win over Levante UD in the Valencian derby of the Spanish Liga Iberdrola.

After a great combination play by Natalia Gaitán, Gio Carreras and Mari Paz, gave the victory to Valencia CF in the Valencian derby. With this triumph, Valencia CF have a total of 44 points in the league. The Ciutat de València Stadium brought together a total of 14,000 fans and was attended by the president of Valencia CF, Anil Murthy.

There was a cautious start to the Valencian derby of Liga Iberdrola between Valencia CF Femenino and Levante UD Femenino, until Valencia CF began to have more possession, characteristic of their game, and in the 9th minute Mari Paz topped the crossbar over a cross from Lombi on the right wing. Four minutes later Noelia cleared a corner kick from M. Carro from outside the box. The corner kick ended up hitting the crossbar!

The game was balanced at times in terms of possession of the ball, although the midfield of Valencia ended up being imposed in most of the duels. Once again, the Levante UD goalkeeper denied a goal in another attempt by Carol. Four minutes later, Lombi headed in to give the visitors the lead after an excellent combination from Gaitán L., Gio Carreras and Mari Paz., Which centered at the far post for the arrival of the Galician winger.

The meeting gave no respite. In the 41st minute Charlyn put in a free-kick from the edge of the area, which passed very close to the left post of J. Vreugdenhil. The scoreboard did not move and the first half ended with 1-0.

The second half started with a forced substitution for Valencia CF Femenino in the 50th minute as Sandra came in for Gaitán L., who left injured. Despite this, the visitors followed the first half in terms of control and approaches. Still, Levante UD Femenino had come out strong and Charlyn ran into J. Vreugdenhil in 55. This action gave greater confidence to the home side, who seemed to be more comfortable after 60 minutes.

With half an hour ahead, both were clear on their mission. Valencia had their offensive references in Mari Paz and Lombi, whereas those of the Levante UD were Charlyn and Jéssica.

It was Valencia CF Femenino who took the deserved Valencian derby victory of Liga Iberdrola.
