Mandy van den Berg extends contract at Valencia CF until June 30, 2019
After just over three months, Valencia CF have offered a contract extension to Netherlands international, Mandy van den Berg.
The defender arrived at the Spanish Liga Iberdrola club in January this year and has now reached an agreement to remain with the club until June 30, 2019.
Mandy van den Berg who was part of the Netherlands squad who were crowned European Champions last year brings great strength, experience, leadership and professionalism to the team and has been an impact player since her arrival.
van den Berg made her debut with Valencia CF Femenino in the Liga Iberdrola, making it as a starter, on January 28, in a match against Santa Teresa CD (1-1); and since then has not stopped starting from the initial 11.
Mandy van den Berg, who has 90 international caps with Netherlands, started her professional career at ADO Den Haag, club of the Dutch First Division, where she won the League and Cup. From there she went to the Professional League of Sweden (Damallsvenskan), to play in the Vittjsö. Mandy also has experience in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, after competing with Norway Toppserien‘s LSK Kvinner, with which she won the League and Cup. Her last teams, before the arrival to Valencia CF Femenino, were Liverpool FC and Reading Woman, both in the English FA WSL.
This renewal is in addition to those already announced by Carol Férez, until June 30, 2019, and Alejandra Serrano, until June 30, 2021.
