VfL Wolfsburg sign Japan forward Yuki Ogimi from Chelsea
German club VfL Wolfsburg have announced on their official website the signing of Japanese forward Yuki Ogimi from Chelsea Ladies.
The 27 year old is reported to have signed a deal to 30 June 2017.
Yuki Ogimi makes her return to the German Alliance Women’s Bundesliga and joins VfL Wolfsburg.
Ogimi previously played in the Bundesliga for three years at 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam before making the move to English FA Women’s Super League club Chelsea Ladies.
Yuki Ogimi was the Bundesliga’s top goalscorer in 2013 and has achieved many more successes. With a total of eleven titles with her clubs NTV Beleza (in Japan) and Turbine Potsdam, she also won the 2011 Women’s World Cup and the silver medal at the 2012 Olympics with her national team.
