Glad you enjoyed the match, Gromit.

The video begins with the scene two women – Nahomi Kawasumi and her mother – exchange flowers to celebrate each other. Kawasumi reached 100 cap in the Nadeshiko League, and May 12 was Mother’s Day.

In a way of speaking, Mina is lucky for three reasons.

    (1) NTV lost its 3 major strikers – Nagasato, Iwabushi, Ito – this year, so it has no choice but to rely on young Mina, which means Mina is given opportunity to prove herself.

    (2) NTV in 2013 plays under a new coach – Mayumi Teratani who served as the manager of NTV’s youth team for a decade. Mina, and all other teenagers (six out of starting eleven!!), can work with a manager who knows them best.

    (3) Mina was called for Algarve Cup 2013, and she scored in her first-ever full-age international match (against Germany). It gave her a huge psychological boost.

In fact, my personal pickup for Mina’s best play in 2013 so far is the scene from the match against Urawa. Mina dribbled right side toward the goal. Urawa’s defender ran along and repeated physical contacts to stop her. Mina did not even slow down, until she reached penalty area then allowed herself to be pushed down. PK, which Mina converted herself. She almost looked like Ogimi.
