      Of course!!

For a lot of supporters (myself included) this is a tale of two years. The team lost all its veterans in 2013 season and started with a too young squad. After winning the 2013 season opener we lost six games in row and we feared we might fall out of the top division. Then in September a new coach took command and a great recovery began. We ended as the six in the league.

The 2014 season started with tears of joy when we beat INAC for the first time in four years. But the “Regular Series” (first stage) ended in another tear, this time tear of grief as every one of us believed our title was “stolen.” However, the team survived the plight staying united and spirited. A great merit of a team whose players are very close to each other age-wise. Remember, this is a team without Miyama, or Kawasumi, or Sawa, or Sakaguchi, or Kaihori, or any of established player of Nadeshiko Japan. Neither we have any imported talent like Bev, McCarty, Mews . . . . We are all amateurs, and the average age is 21 point something.

      Here is a better image.

The six thousand in the stand chanted “We Are Reds” for this scene.

Our next match is the round one of IWCC (Nestle Cup) against “AWCC winner” (whoever they are) on November 30.

It is such an amazing achievement, I am so happy for them – especially as in certain games decisions seemed to be going against them.

The team must have great character to bounce back from losing its veteran players and suffering so many defeats in a row. Great credit to the coach!

I love that photo!! I hope they enjoyed celebrating with 6,000 fans in the stands, it must have been an amazing experience and feeling for the team.

I look forward to seeing how they get on in the IWCC.

Did you hear Arsenal Ladies have recruited Yael Averbuch for this tournament? – http://www.womenssoccerunited.com/yael-averbuch-joins-arsenal-ladies-compete-iwcc-2014/
