Women’s National Teams to be included in EA Sports’ FIFA 16

Many of you may remember the many campaigns for women footballers to be included in the EA Sports’ FIFA franchise (see image above), well it is now a reality!

EA Sports has released the following information below about the inclusion of Women’s National Teams in their next game release!

    INTRODUCING WOMEN IN FIFA 16

Play as Women’s National Teams for the first time in the FIFA franchise. Choose from 12 teams and compete* in Match Day, an Offline Tournament, and Online Friendly Matches.

Available teams: Germany, USA, France, Sweden, England, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Spain, China, Italy, Mexico.

*Women’s National Teams compete exclusively against other Women’s National Teams.

    Agree with you both, another positive step…
    I think now they have done this, there is no reason for them not to increase the teams and have club level football as well.
    We will be able to put our dream teams against each other online!!

    Very happy about this. I wonder if they’ll add teams as dlc or as later installments
    (was surprised that Japan was omitted). If they have a team gb I may get to play as Kim Little even xD. Still very glad that EA has listened to the women’s game fans and Vero’s petition. Got to start planning my dream team now…

    it’s about time!!!! I have to say I was surprised they didn’t include Japan on the list tho. Hopefully with more time, more NTs will be added 🙂 and here’s to hoping it won’t take them another 12+ years to think of the idea of adding clubs and UWCL #babysteps
