Actually, today’s most impressive (or shocking) match took place in the second division.
Nojima Stella 0 – 6 Nagano Parceiro
Nagano: 10’ & 48’ & 60’ & 75’ & 79’ & 84’ Shiho Tomari
Attendance: 767
Shots: Nojima 8 – 15 Nagano
Corners: Nojima 1 – 10 Nagano
How do you call it? A “double hat-trick”? Did anyone ever see such deed before?
True, it’s in the second division. But the beaten up Nojima is not an insignificant underdog it was a few years ago. Nojima finished as the third in 2014 winning same number of matches with Takatsuki who plays in the top division this year. They also signed three top-division players—Tanaka from INAC, Kobayashi from Beleza, and Kawashima from Vegalta, and is hoped to enter the top division in 2016.
The double-hat-tricker Tomari is herself a new transfer from (what else?) Urawa Reds Ladies. The Reds supporters will lose sleep the nest few nights!!
Great updates as always, thank you Ken.
Wow! Great work by Shiho Tomari, I don’t think I have seen many double hat-tricks in league matches, although Fran Kirby of Reading almost managed it a couple of weeks ago against London Bees in the WSL 2. She scored 5 of the 7 goals.
