Providing coverage of women’s football from all around the world!
Natsuki Kishikawa is her team’s eleventh player to score a goal in 2014. Numbers of players who scored this year are:
Urawa: 11
NTV, Iga: 9
Chiba, Kobe: 8
Sendai: 7
Niigata, Saitama: 6
Yunogo, Kibi: 5
So, the contrasted styles of two top competitors (Urawa and Yunogo) still continue. Urawa’s joint work vs. Yunogo’s individual prowesses.

Nadeshiko League June 21
[Week 10]
Yunogo Belle 2 — 1 JEF United Chiba
Yunogo: 10′ Miki Matsuoka, 17′ Miki Asano, 27′ Saori Arimachi
Chiba: 76′ Yuika Sugasawa
Attendance: 1,689
Shots: Yunogo 5 — 9 Chiba
Corners: Yunogo 2 — 5 Chiba
Miki Asano has become her team’s fifth player to score this season. Still other 4 shots are by Miyama, Arimachi and Matsuoka which indicates Yunogo continues its style. Surprisingly their squad list has no substitute GK today. Are they so confident their players are so robust?
Thanks Ken.
That is surprising and risky not to include a substitute goalkeeper! Was that just for this match or for their whole squad in general?
Yunogo Belle has only 2 GKs to begin with, Fukumoto and the 19-year-old Mei Hayashizaki who is yet to have any minute in the top division. Mei was the sub-GK until the last week. She may be sick or injured today. But it is too risky indeed. I wonder why they don’t pick one from their youth team which is perfectly legal.
