Thank you for all the updates and information Ken.

Great to hear your Urawa Reds have secured their spot in the upper group! I hope Kobe will make it too.

Actually, my great concern is if Urawa finishes the first stage at the top and secures its place in the Mobcast Cup. I believed they certainly will when they trounced Yunogo 2 weeks ago. Now it’s totally unclear. It even looks their chance is slimmer than Yunogo’s and NTV’s because their remaining opponents are tougher.

One more point. I was greatly upset when our U19 team failed to qualify for the U20WWC 2014. Now I am inclined to the opinion it was fortunate after all. What players are to be lost in the most critical 3 weeks if Japan was in Canada now?

      Urawa: Naomoto, Norimatsu, Seike, Hirao
      NTV: Mina, Momiki, Sumida, Shimizu
      Kobe: Masuya, Miyake
      Chiba: Ueno, Anzai

Absence of all these players will benefit the two elder teams. Yunogo will win a berth in Mobcast Cup and Sendai will make it into the upper group.

Very good point about the U-19s, that would have had a huge impact for some teams in the Nadeshiko League at such a critical time. Although from a selfish point of view I would have loved to have seen them compete in Canada!

    [Nadeshiko League]

Four teams–Urawa, Yunogo, NTV, Niigata–have already secured their positions in the upper group. Three–Saitama, Iga, Kibi–will compete in the lower group. And three–Kobe, Sendai, Chiba–have both chances. Kobe leads both Sendai and Chiba by 2 points, which means they will secure their place in the upper group by winning 1 of the remaining 2 matches because Sendai and Chiba will play each other in the final week of the first sage.
