Ecuador will battle against Trinidad and Tobago for a ticket to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015. The first leg of the play-off series is on 8 November in Quito, the return leg is on 2 December in Trinidad.
Ecuador earned their place in the play-off series after finishing third at the 2014 Copa América Femenina.
Trinidad and Tobago were beaten by Mexico in the 2014 CONCACAF Women’s Championship match for third place. The closely fought contest was eventually won 4-2 by the Mexicans in extra time.

Congratulations to Ecuador but my heart goes out to Trinidad and Tobago, in my opinion they were the more dominating team and seemed to do everything apart from score!! I hope the recent worldwide spotlight on them will encourage further developments and support for women’s football in their country so they can come back even stronger and prepared.
